Joanne Hunger is Director of Business Solutions for Western Union (WUBS) for Central Europe and Ireland. This high-profile role includes optimising the B2B sales strategy by driving revenue growth and leading product and people development to support International Trading businesses across the Regions.

Originally from Derry in N. Ireland, Joanne completed her degree and post graduate studies at Sheffield University, UK, and Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria.
Joanne has a proven track record of developing future leaders and motivating teams in International locations, having previously held a number of leadership roles with The Royal Bank of Scotland within Corporate Banking, UK. In 2012, she moved to Vienna to set up the Western Union ‘Business’ brand in Austria and since then the German and Irish Markets.

She is dedicated to growing the WU brand through PR and marketing and shares her significant expertise in International Banking, Client Relationship Management and client acquisition in many ‘thought leadership’ articles and presentations.

She is a passionate believer in developing and growing business networks, by formally taking an active role in empowering women as Chair of Women in Banking and Finance in Bristol, UK. In her spare time, she runs a Business network in Austria for the professional Irish community. She holds the European Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.
