of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V.

The British Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V.’s (hereinafter referred to as "BCCG") prime concern is to protect personal data (hereinafter referred to as "Data") of individuals, who visit our website www.bccg.de ( hereinafter referred to as "Website"). The following policy is to detail our approach regarding the protection of data, which we collect, process and use (synoptic "Process").

Our Website might include links to websites of third party/ies, whose websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. In this case, please see their websites and make sure to thoroughly check their privacy policy.


Due to the constant development of our Website and the implementation of new technologies this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Eventual amendments will be made known by publishing the amended Privacy Policy on our Website. Unless agreed otherwise these amendments shall be effective immediately. Therefore we suggest to periodically check our Privacy Policy.


Personal Data

Personal Data shall mean any information relating to personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable person, such as the full name, (postal or email-) address, telephone or telefax number, or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information by BCCG.

Purpose of Collection, Process and Use of Data

The BCCG undertakes to comply with the German Data Protection Law concerning the treatment of personal Data. We ensure to only Process Data if necessary and permissible under the German Data Protection Law, e.g. to perform contractual obligations or to enable individuals the use of our Website as the case may be that the individual explicitly agreed to the Processing of the Data (for instance to answer questions or to register for our newsletter).

Transfer of Personal Data

Personal Data may only be disclosed to any third party/-ies if legally permitted or with your consent to disclosure. Our staff operates under the contractual obligation of discretion, confidentiality and data secrecy.

The bookmarks are referred to as tags and are included in our Website as links. Tagged pages are stored on the web and can be accessed from any computer. If you click on one of the tags, our Website will link you to the website associated with the tag. User information will be transferred to the third party's website provider once the tag opens. Consent / Withdrawal

If you consent or have consented to your Data being Processed by us, you can withdraw your consent at any time free of charge with effect for the future and without incurring additional costs other than the usual transmission costs at the basic rates. Sending an email to the address set below will suffice for this purpose.

Appropriate security measures are in place to protect your Data against any random or intentional loss, manipulation, damage or unauthorised access.

Retention

The BCCG will keep your Data as long as necessary to provide you with our services or until we are no longer legally obligated to do so. In the second case the Data will be deleted after the expiration of the legal obligation to retain it.

Access, Rectification and Erasure of Data

In accordance with the applicable legal provisions, you are entitled to receive information about your Data that we have stored free of charge and at any time. In the event that the Data has been incorrectly or illegally stored, we will gladly correct, block or delete this Data. Please ensure to notify us of any changes in your Data.
