Finance for Jobs and Growth in Europe

Invitation to panel discussion with our partner British Embassy.

The British Embassy in cooperation with TheCityUK is delighted to invite you to a seminar to discuss the CityUK report, "Finance for Jobs and Growth in Europe". The purpose of this report is to help set the agenda of the European Parliament and Commission during the 2014-19 mandate by identifying ways the financial services sector can help to address policy challenges facing the EU. It sets out how financial services can contribute to solutions by enabling jobs and growth and securing Europe's global competitiveness.

This seminar will take the form of a panel discussion between industry leaders and members of the policymaking community. Policymakers, financial services practitioners and key opinion formers will be invited to discuss the implications of the report, especially in light of the upcoming confirmation of the new College of Commissioners.

The event is kindly hosted by Andreas Utermann, Global Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Global Investors and co-chair of its Global Executive Committee. Additional speakers include Richard Kuehnel, Head of Representation in Germany, European Commission, Miles Celic, Director of Group Strategic Communications at Prudential and Siegmar Mosdorf, Partner at Communications & Network Consulting AG and Former Parliamentary State Secretary.

The intention is for the report to be part of a longer term discussion with policymakers in several EU Member States over the course of this European mandate.

Events Overview ...

"The UK and Germany are the two biggest countries in terms of employment for Rolls-Royce. Many of our people, including myself, have spent time in both locations in their careers. We therefore fully support young talent who wish to study in both countries as this supports the integrated work environment in Rolls-Royce. Well-educated experts are important for the success of our company and the aerospace industry. Through integration into our specialised departments, students can also gain invaluable practical experience and we can identify potential candidates for future employment."
